I am Krista Terracina, MD FACS, Assistant Professor, Univeristy of Florida. I attended medical school at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Shreveport and moved thereafter to complete my residency at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. During my residency, I completed a postdoctoral fellowship in cancer biology at the Massey Cancer Center in Richmond and became administrative chief resident. Following this, I completed a colon and rectal surgery residency at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington D.C. I am board certified in General Surgery and Colon and Rectal Surgery and have been a practicing colon and rectal surgeon since 2019 at the Univeristy of Florida where I am a member of our NAPRC accredidated rectal cancer program and a part of our IBD Team. I am engaged in research on cancer immunotherapy and in VR modeling for surgical planning.
I am a member of the Association for Academic Surgery, the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, and fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
