Dr. Elyash was born in Kiev of Ukraine during the Soviet Union and came to the United States at a young age. He was raised in New Jersey and attended the New York College of Osteopathic medicine through the combined B.S./D.O. Program at the New York Institute of Technology. He did his general surgery residency at the NYU Lutheran Medical Center, now called NYU Langone Brooklyn, and his minimally invasive/bariatric surgery fellowship at Princeton healthcare in Plainsboro, NJ. He currently works as a general surgeon with the Valley Medical Group in the Valley Health System in Northern New Jersey.
