Dr. Johnson is board-certified in general surgery and fellowship-trained in advanced gastrointestinal and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Johnson has a special interest in all aspects of foregut surgery including antireflux surgery as well as foregut malignancies to include esophageal, stomach, pancreas, and biliary. He strives to provide compassionate patient-centered state-of-the-art surgical care to include advanced robotics and minimally invasive techniques. Dr. Johnson is a member of SAGES (Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons), the American Foregut Society, the Cohn-Rives Surgical Society, the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis, the Southeastern Surgical Congress, the American College of Surgeons and the American Medical Association. He has also received numerous honors and awards, including the Norma J. Preston Humanism Award, Gold Humanism Society. Outside of the office, Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with his family, sailing and woodworking
